There are subtle turning points in history that don’t become apparent until you see them from a distance. One such change is the trend towards the ubiquitous button, or what we used to call a push-button.
Phone apps and websites are riddled with push-button easiness. Purchases can be made with a single click or tap on a button. The Staples “easy button” is a caricature of how convenient many processes have become.
So now is a good time to reflect on how we used to have to do things, and how much many processes have improved.
